HSMP application processing delays

The UK Home Office has announced that their Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) application processing Team currently has a backlog of applications to consider due to a significant increase in the number of applications received. The Home Office is apparently reviewing the situation and a number of measures are being implemented in order to return processing times back to normal.

To enable the HSMP Team to efficiently continue to process existing applications, the Home Office has asked applicants and their representative to refrain from contacting them with requests for updates.

The Home Office has apologised to those applicants who have experienced delays and would like to confirm that they are taking measures to minimise these delays and return service to normal as quickly as possible.

Despite these delays, the HSMP scheme still offers the quickest processing time of any skilled migration visas worldwide!
